Leading collaboration to accelerate the Hunter’s new energy future

How do regions successfully transition from ambition to delivery in the rapidly evolving new energy economy? What is required to connect industry, government, research and communities to unlock investment, build capability and create lasting economic opportunity?

As Co-Lead of New.E – the Hunter New Energy Cluster, Clare works alongside industry leaders, government agencies and research organisations to position the Hunter as a globally recognised region for new energy innovation, manufacturing and project delivery.

This involves bringing together diverse stakeholders to identify common priorities, strengthen collaboration and support the development of the enabling systems required for industry growth. Through initiatives including the Hunter New Energy Symposium, capability development programs, supply chain engagement and strategic industry projects, New.E is helping to translate the region’s significant new energy opportunities into practical outcomes.

The work recognises that successful energy transition is not driven by a single project or technology, but through coordinated action across infrastructure, skills, investment, policy and industry capability. By fostering collaboration and creating pathways for participation, New.E is supporting the Hunter to build on its industrial strengths and establish a competitive advantage in the emerging global new energy economy.
